The MSU Alumni Association is moving away from a dues-based membership system. Find out what this means for you, and how the transition can help us provide scholarships to more MSU students.

As you may have heard, the MSU Alumni Association is moving away from a dues-based membership system. All Spartans will be members of the MSUAA, with Spartan Loyal members receiving enhanced benefits. Individuals who contribute $100+ per year to any fund at Michigan State University will be considered Spartan Loyal and thus eligible for the enhanced benefits. (For more information on this transition, see this blog post from the MSUAA.)

This means that now your contributions to support scholarships can make you eligible to receive even more benefits from the MSUAA. Any gift to any scholarship or fellowship fund at MSU counts towards your $100 contribution level, at which point you'll receive a printed version of the MSU Alumni Magazine and other enhanced membership benefits. On top of that, you'll know that your donation is helping students directly through the gift of scholarship and fellowship support.

If you're looking for a fund to direct your donations to, we encourage you to explore the giving options on this website. If you have any questions regarding making a donation, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (517) 432-7345.
