As you may have heard, MSU raised a record $271.9 million during our last fiscal year, breaking previous records set in 2014 and 2015. This is all due in part to your support of the the Empower Extraordinary capital campaign efforts.

Not Just A Scholarship: Tanzania Partnership Program

A donor-funded study abroad program expanded students' worldview and instilled in them the urge to give back to their Tanzanian host community.

Joe D. Pentecost Foundation: Helping Other People Excel

The Joe D. Pentecost Foundation supports several scholarships for students in the greater Lansing area, including awards for students who transfer from Lansing Community College to continue their studies at Michigan State University.

Juliette Givhan: Pursuing Personal Growth

Juliette Givhan was able to follow her dream of an out-of-state education after receiving the STARR Scholarship.

Anna Backman: Taking New Roads

Anna Backman would have missed out on a lot of the college experience without the help of the STARR Scholarship.

Seth Rowles: Shaping His Community

Seth Rowles has been able to work with at-risk youth, disabled children, and juvenile offenders on his path to discovering his future career.

Jessica Harris: Always Reaching Higher

Jessica Harris went on a five-year quest to earn a spot as a STARR Scholar so that she could go to college.

STARR Charitable Foundation: Not Just A Scholarship

Current STARR Scholars and those invited to join the program for the 2016-2017 academic year during their annual spring dinner at Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

In 1998, anonymous donors created a scholarship that has now given over $12 million to Spartans at MSU, changing lives in the process.
